Pastor Scott's Message
Join us this Sunday at 3:00pm for our first Annual Spring Concert.  Martin Luther said, "Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world. It controls our thoughts, minds, hearts, and spirits....This precious gift has been given to man alone that he might thereby remind himself that God has created man for the express purpose of praising and extolling God."
We are very blessed to have Jim Thielker as our Music Director and wonderful musicians who play the piano, flute, dulcimers and violin. Thank you to them for their lifetime of preparation. They enable us to worship the Lord in Song. God's words are powerful. Set to music they dance in our hearts and pop up in our minds. Have you ever just had a hymn suddenly playing in your head during the week? We have musicians to thank for that. Of course these artists get even more benefit than we do. They get to feel the music flow through them. Their whole body and soul is worshipping Jesus when they play.
If you have friends or family who love classical hymnody, bring them to Glendale.  Beautiful music is something to share. Bring them Sunday for the concert and bring them May 25th for Jazzfest.
