Pastor Scott's Message
This Saturday the 27th, we need you to help us with our Asset Mapping. From 9am to 11am, we gather together with coffee and bagels to brainstorm. I've asked the council, elders and any member with a passion for Jesus and Glendale to join us. If that is you, see you on Saturday.

Here is where we are going in our time together. What has God given his people at Glendale? How can we use those assets to help our neighbors? Last week's sermon was in John 7 and Jesus said, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me... Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." We want God's gifts to Glendale to flow through us to the neighborhood around us. We can't keep it to ourselves.

After six months here, I believe we are a neighborhood church. We aren't a big congregation that can offer something for everyone. We aren't a small congregation where you know everyone intimately. We are a neighborhood church. Our preschool and VBS gets neighborhood kids. We have many members who live within a few miles from church. Our people have a ton of relationships outside of our congregation. We want the Gospel to flow to those relationships. Saturday will help us to see how we are going to accomplish that. You can rarely predict what God is going to do but if we are open, He will do something amazing.
Daily Bible Readings
CCLS Sunday
On February 4 we will be welcoming CCLS families and staff to worship at Glendale in celebration of our partnership. We will be hosting them for breakfast after worship. There is a sign up on the kiosk where you can sign up to bring breakfast items or lend a hand with set up or clean up, if you are able to help.
Tables of Eight Begins
There is a sign-up sheet on the kiosk in the church hallway for those of you who would like to join in the fun of Tables of 8 for the next four months beginning in February until May. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other better and enjoy some really good food. Each couple/single will host one month, either in their home, at a restaurant or at church. It's not the venue that is important, but the fellowship. Hope to see a long list of participants. You can sign up until Sunday, February 4. Any questions, call Carol Froesel at 822-1365.
