Glimpses of Glendale
Glendale Lutheran Church Newsletter
May 20, 2021
For six weeks in the season of Pentecost, 10 Lutheran churches from across St. Louis unite for a common series in the book of Acts. We are an alliance of over 8,000 Christians, united in Jesus and animated by the Holy Spirit. In this season, we’ll share glimpses into our diverse congregations. We’ll pray for each other. And we will encourage each other in our common mission to be witnesses of Christ across our metro area “and to the ends of the earth.”

The Acts Alliance churches are:

  • Glendale Lutheran under Pastor Scott. We are intimate, hospitable and multi-generational.

  • Mt Calvary, Brentwood under Pastor Will. They are experimenting.

  • Concordia, Kirkwood under Pastor Stephen. They are looking for partners.

  • Christ Memorial/Reliant, South County/City under Pastor Jeff. They are sending.

  • Resurrection, Sappington under Pastor David. They are rediscovering their purpose.

  • St. John, Arnold under Pastor Jeremy. They are resourcing other churches.

  • Messiah, South Grand under Pastor Steve. They are diverse.

  • Bethlehem, North City under Pastor Gerard. They are crazy for Christ.

  • St. Trinity, South City under Pastor Dave. They are rebounding.

  • Epiphany, Carondelet under Pastor Tim. They are baptizing.

Pentecost is a time of celebrating God using different congregations for one purpose, spreading the Gospel. Pray for our brothers and sisters at these churches while they pray for us. We are not competitors with each other; we are one team for Christ.
