| Pastor Scott's Message A new year is a great time to begin new endeavors. We are  forming new teams at Glendale Lutheran and I want you to pray about your involvement. Our church has so much potential and you can help unlock it. It feels great to be used by the Lord to do his work.
We are putting together an outreach team. We are looking for people who have a heart for the community. We need people to come up with creative ways to reach out to our neighbors with the Gospel. I want us to connect with North Glendale Elementary and Glendale city events. I want Jesus to have a great reputation locally because his people at Glendale are welcoming and loving. If you have a mission mindset, then talk to me about joining the outreach team. We already have a preschool team that does a wonderful job caring for CCLS families. We also have created a communications team consisting of Sandy and Paul Barbercheck, Andy Orstadt, Michelle Fiala, Steve Phelps and myself. The communications team will use the web, email, bulletins, posters, advertisements and anything else we can think of to communicate the vision of Glendale. Isn't it great? We get to be a part of God's big plan! |
Women's Tuesday Bible Study Women's Tuesday Bible Study is beginning again on Tuesday, January 9 at 9:15am. You are welcome to join us as we begin the study "Jesus the One and Only" by Beth Moore. This is a great group of women and we would love to have you join us! |
Family Life Center Doors As of the end of the year, $9,752 has been received specified to cover the cost of the replacement of the leaking double pane windows. This money coupled with the $10,000 approved for this project by Voters in this year's budget will now cover the projected installed cost for the new doors. Thank you. Once installed sometime this spring, new opportunities will be opened up (literally) to better utilize what has been a relatively inaccessible area of our campus. We are continuing work to better define those opportunities and their related costs. The feedback on the draft design has been very positive. Look for more information to come in the future. |
Notes from the Music Director  Church Year Colors, Part 1: - White: purity, holiness -- white appears on Christmas and its season and Epiphany Day, Easter and its season, Trinity Sunday, and festivals of Christ.
- Green: life -- green appears during the Epiphany and Pentecost seasons.
