Pastor Scott's Message

For those who want to come to Friday's Jazzfest:
  • Walk from home, park on the streets or at North Glendale.
  • There is no parking at church.
  • There is a shuttle from the elementary school.
  • The concerts go from 5:15-10:15.  It is free.
  • Bring lawn chairs.
  • You can also bring dinner and beverages but there are vendors as well.
  • Be sure to meet people and introduce yourself as a Glendale Lutheran member.
  • Have a blast!

For those who want to volunteer:
  • We have a limited number of parking passes for the bank lot and lot next to church.
  • The Shirt orders are in!  Shirt cost is $20 (made out to church).  You can also pick them up at Jazzfest.
  • When you arrive at Jazzfest, sign in at the Glendale Lutheran Booth located curbside right in front of the main building entrance.
  • Enter church to receive your ordered shirt in the workroom behind the office.
  • Also put on your name tag.
  • We need people in the booth, mingling with the crowd and tidying up the parking lot.
  • Meet lots of people and welcome them to our church!

Daily Bible Readings

Work Days - Thank You!
WOW! Just say "Company's Coming" and our church family moves into action. We were blessed with 24 able bodies the first Saturday workday and 16 the second. Many thanks to all who trimmed bushes, pulled weeds, planted, moved mulch, sprayed, transplanted, dugout bushes, picked up, chopped limbs, swept, moved rock, raked leaves, trenched and just had willing hands! Yes, "Company's Coming"--but really it's just being good stewards of all that God has entrusted and blessed us with. Hope you'll join us at a future workday.
Voters' Meeting
A Voters' Meeting is scheduled for June 24, 2018, for a final reading of and vote on the Leadership Council's proposed 2018/2019 budget that was discussed on May 20, 2018.  The Meeting will take place in the Sanctuary immediately following the service and before Bible Class.

LCEF Update
Great news, first Shared Blessings hurdle achieved!! We are now at 29 Investors, which pushes Glendale over the threshold to waive the Loan Fee of $3,400!! This also cuts the Investor Gap to reach the first tier of Loan Rebate to 26 new investors needed!
Yard Work Volunteer Wanted
We are looking for a volunteer to maintain the boxwood bushes on our campus. Bushes should be trimmed as necessary (2 to 3 times per year). It is estimated to take two to three hours to trim. We will provide a cordless trimmer unless you prefer to use you own. Please let Michelle know if you are willing to take responsibility for this seasonal task.
