Pastor Scott's Message
In two weeks, on Sunday May 6th, we will begin our 75th Anniversary celebrations with a special worship service and brunch.  The service's theme is Glendale Lutheran's motto: Serving Christ, Serving Others. We are going to have myself and Steve Albers lead the service together. We will have a testimony from a person who has witnessed Christ working here. We also will announce the recipients for our 75th Anniversary offering. Over the next several months we are going to raise $7,500 to be split equally between church, community and world. We want to continue to serve others here, locally and to the ends of the earth.
Also, save the date of Saturday November 10th for a 75th Anniversary Reunion. We want this year to be one of thanksgiving to the Lord for all he has done through his people at Glendale. So it is fitting to finish our celebrations in November. A team is organizing a night of appetizers, special guests and remembrances. We want to invite back members, pastors, and fieldworkers who were blessed by Christ here. If you know someone who fits that description, pass on the date.
We would also like to recruit people to share their Glendale story during the announcements on a Sunday. We want 1-2 minutes on how Christ blessed you or someone else over the years through this congregation. Everyone has a story. You've seen baptisms, weddings and funerals. You've been a part of Room at the Inn, the preschool, community projects, Kirkcare, clothes drives, Uganda Trips, National Youth Gatherings, and hundreds more. You've also had one on one connections when someone from our church was there for you. If you share your story the church will be encouraged and God will get the glory. Seventy-five years of Gospel-giving is a wonderful milestone.

Notes from the Music Director - "Hidden Talent"

I am searching for musical talent at Glendale! Trumpets, trombones, French horns, flutes, clarinets, oboes, etc. Also saxophone and guitar! I have lots of Christian music for all of these instruments! Please see me at church or call me: 314-487-6942. With our organ or piano we can praise the Lord together!

75th Celebration Brunch

We appreciate your donations and famous recipes to help make this an unforgettable event. See the sign-up sheet on the center kiosk for details.
