Pastor Scott's Message Next week is Jazzfest. On Friday, May 25th at 5pm in our parking lot we will have a concert stage blasting beautiful jazz music, over a thousand neighbors enjoying themselves, and dozens of our members making them feel at home. I want you to be a part of it. Maybe you normally would never come to something like Jazzfest. But this is different. The Lord has answered our prayers and is drawing the city of Glendale to our doorstep. Now we pray that our neighbors have a wonderful time and that our congregation sees God at work. There is nothing better than seeing God at work. On Sunday, we continue with Abraham's story in Genesis. God promises to make him and Sara the start of a new nation. Then he gives them a vision and a sign of what it looks like. I pray that Jazzfest can be a sign for us. God has been working at Glendale for 75 years and he will continue to do so in ways beyond our imagination. Come and wear your new Glendale shirt. Bring lawn chairs, dinner and something to drink. Meet as many people as you can and tell them how happy we are to host them. Drop by our booth and give out Glendale Coozies, water bottles and bubbles for the little ones. Watch families use our playground. Thank God that our beautiful property can be used for such a joyous purpose. Thank you God, for this opportunity. |
First Budget Reading A first reading of the Leadership Council's proposed 2018/2019 budget will take place at 11:30am on May 20, 2018, in the Family Life Center immediately following Bible Study. Please plan on attending so we can explain our budget items and answer any questions the Congregation may have on those items. We will provide members with a spreadsheet comparing the current fiscal year budget with next year's proposed budget in advance of the May 20, 2018, meeting. A light lunch will also be provided during the meeting. - The Leadership Council |

Yard Work Volunteer Wanted We are looking for a volunteer to maintain the boxwood bushes on our campus. Bushes should be trimmed as necessary (2 to 3 times per year). It is estimated to take two to three hours to trim. We will provide a cordless trimmer unless you prefer to use you own.
