Pastor Scott's Message Next week is Music on the Lawn! It's Saturday June 30th at 6pm. The 75th Anniversary team recruited a band, The Apollos, that features David Reed of our church and Katie Killian of Concordia. Thrivent is providing the food. What we also need is lots of attenders. We asked God to give us an opportunity to be hospitable and he sent Jazzfest our way. We faithfully responded by having fifty of our members in their Glendale Lutheran Polos man our booth and help out. We handed out 500 Music on the Lawn flyers. We've put the word out on our sign, on facebook and in the paper. The most effective tool is for you to come and bring a guest. The church can spend lots of money on advertising but people come to things in which they know someone. Bring your family, your extended family. We want this church to have all of the generations. Bring your neighbors. It's like a block party. Bring that person who has been on your heart lately. God could be talking to you. Church family, music and food is an unbeatable combination. |
